Why did I book this hotel
‘The Fern’ is a 5-star property in Ahmedabad. Usually, I prefer to stay in budget hotels or guesthouses to save on my trips. But, as this was a sponsored trip by my office, I could splurge on hotel ;) . While booking, I shortlisted a few hotels of similar categories, but the pictures and reviews on internet tempted me to book this one. The rooms and the ambience of the hotel looked good in the pictures.
My experience
I stayed for 3 days in this hotel. The ambience, rooms & corridors were clean and tidy. I was given free WiFi facility. The food was good. However, the senior staff was not that co-operative. I had an issue with the bill. Due to my official requirements, I asked the hotel to provide a star-rating certificate. Initially, they refused but after repeated requests they just provided an unstamped and unsigned photocopy. This caused a lot of problem in getting reimbursement from my office.
