Free visit to Vatican Museums

Visiting the Vatican Museums on the last Sunday of every month is free for all visitors.

Travel Tips Rome: The Vatican museum is free for everyone on every last Sunday of the month and closed on the rest of the Sundays. I visited on a Sunday and this was my reaction when I realised that I won't be able to see the museum. By the way, most of the touristy & popular monuments and museums in Rome are not free. Better buy a tourist attraction pass like 'Roma Pass' which covers travelling in all public transportation in Rome City and gives access to some of these monuments/museums.
