Hezen Cave hotel is situated in Ortahisar village of Cappadocia region, Turkey. I stayed in this hotel in September 2018 on my solo trip to Turkey. Based on my experience I would recommend this place to stay. I rate this property 4.6 out of 5
Reason to book a cave hotel
I wanted to experience a stay in a cave. While searching for options on the internet, I found this quite attractive. The main reason was its proximity to Goreme, which is the heart of Cappadocia in terms of all tourism activities. The pictures of its terraces overlooking Otrahisar castle and the village were quite tempting. Another big reason to book this hotel was the guest reviews for this property.

My experience
I stayed in Room number 14 (standard room) of this boutique hotel. In front of the room was a beautiful lawn where I used to relax. Room was well kept and artistically decorated. In fact the whole property is designed to give a special cosy feeling while staying in the caves. This is the reason I will recommend this place whoever is looking for a romantic holiday. The best part of the hotel was the staff who made me experience top-level hospitality. Special thanks to the manager, Mr Mehmet who helped me to carve out an itinerary for all the days I spent in that region. Breakfast was complimentary. Laundry & drinks were also offered to me on a complimentary basis. This is a small property so I got personalised attention of the staff.

Caves and interesting rock formations are the most interesting part of a trip to Cappadocia. But if you happen to stay in this region, I would recommend staying in a cave hotel.
